Recent trends have shown that $7.9 billion of the e-commerce business has been from the shoe industry. This all started with Zappos.com (recently bought by amazon.com in 2009) and now has taken 3.9% of the ecommerce pie. I cannot think of a product that has not at least tested the online water for success. I love shopping for shoes, especially when I don’t have to be near others and try on shoes that others have put on. That always grosses me out.
