Adobe Suite is now showcasing a program to do it all. This
is great news for all GD and Marketers combined. There is always a glitch
between idea to paper when it comes to promotion and I see this program
bringing the two worlds together. I am excited to see this work and to test out
the waters in the areas, that I understand at least.

Come See the Brand You See Online
Brands who used to be online have now opened up store
fronts. Why? Well, because the brand needs to be seen AND experienced. This is
great. I love the convenience of knowing that you have both at your fingertips.
Apple was the first to do it but should certainly not be the last. Go, go, go!

The Online Fighters: Wal-Mart and Amazon
An excerpt from a blog post on wsj.com mentioned that Wal-Mart has found its match in Amazon. They may be able to price match in the store but when it comes to online shopping, Amazon has taken the lead. I think it is about time that someone put my arch-enemy, Wal-Mart, in the spiral of heartache and outsmarts. What will Wal-Mart do to a strong e-commerce brand like Amazon? Only time will tell. That is for sure.

Nike Applgenius
This needs to come to the US for our sports teams. There is so much apparel that we want to say our favorite player’s name on but there is not a good way to order these things on our mobile devices. The technology of putting the apparel on before ordering it is genius. I believe Apple will make bank with this deal and so will Nike. The apparel industry is in need of something new and I think this is just the thing all brands should try and make happen for them.

Drugs need competition in order to change too
Attention all weight-loss wannabes: there is a not long lasting, not-healthy pill coming out, Qnexa. How will it be better than all the rest? Well, no one really knows but they have gotten the facts that they need to diversify themselves if they want to stick around. The article had mention that a merge/buyout of Weight Watchers would be an ideal decision for them. I mean, why not take a pill that when you stop taking will bring back the fat it just took away. I would totally buy into that promotion if I have the reputation of success like Weight Watchers does. Who wouldn’t? What I did enjoy reading was the ecommerce side of things: adding an App to the Apple Store for Qnexa to promote a healthy life habits while taking the drug and a system of success to use it for the rest of your life. However, pills by themselves for weight loss are such a joke and shouldn’t even be considered by the FDA if they are guaranteed to fail the body after stopping the drug.
